Well, that was fast. It’s time for my First Thursdays music series in which I shout-out an artist I think you should know about on the first Thursday of the month! If you listen to me, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve already heard this month’s artist. Not only are we label-mates but I’ve also booked them at Cornell University to headline a festival when I was a residence hall director. I love this month’s artist for a number of reasons—they like video games, they always post the best memes, and as their Twitter bio states, they make “[s]ad punk songs about being queer, trans and black.” This month’s artist is none other than the homies in Aye Nako! Check out their latest track “Particle Mace” off their upcoming LP Silver Haze (Don Giovanni Records) and then go buy all of their stuff!
